“Selling online with AI” sounds like a big thing, as if you need a tech team or a complicated system. For a shop, the real meaning is much simpler: you say it, and the AI types it.
The most time-consuming part of running an online shop isn’t taking photos. It’s typing product names and descriptions, sorting them into categories, and doing the same thing again every time something new arrives. That’s why busy shops so often leave their online shop out of date. This is where AI helps.
What AI can really do for an online shop
- Turn a photo and a few words into a listing. Send one photo with a name and price, and the AI drafts the name, description and category.
- Understand speech. Talk the way you would to a customer, in Thai, English or a mix. Your voice note becomes text, and the AI writes from it.
- Keep every listing in the same style. Your shop looks tidy even when you add products on different days, in different moods.
- File products under your existing categories, and only create a new one when nothing fits.
- Write two languages at once. For shops with a second language (Business and up on Tellsell), the AI writes both Thai and English, each straight from your own words.
What AI should never do
AI is good with words, but it doesn’t know your products the way you do. Left to write freely, some AI tools “fill in” details that sound good but aren’t true: a size nobody mentioned, a health claim, a line about being genuine and imported.
For a shop, that’s more dangerous than it sounds. Buyers trust what a product page says. Wrong details lead to returns and bad reviews, or worse, to breaking advertising rules, especially for food, supplements and cosmetics, which have rules of their own. If you’re not sure what you’re allowed to say, check with the authority responsible.
So Tellsell keeps clear rules:
- The AI writes only what it sees in the photo or what you told it.
- Nothing goes live until you have seen the preview and tapped Publish.
- If a price looks far off your shop’s usual range, the AI asks first, for example “39 or 390 baht?”
- If something slips through, tap Undo.
Anything that needs judgement, such as setting prices, checking that money really arrived, or deciding whether to take an order, stays the owner’s job.
An example: from a short message to a product page
Say a skincare shop sends a photo of a pink pump bottle and records a voice note:
Rose serum, 30 ml, 390 baht a bottle

The AI drafts the name “Rose serum 30 ml”, the price of 390 baht, and a description from what it sees and hears: a frosted pink bottle, a pump top, 30 ml. It will not write “reduces wrinkles” or “suits every skin type”, because you never said so.
If you want that kind of detail, just reply, for example “add that it’s light and absorbs quickly”. The preview updates straight away, because now the information came from you.
What your shop gets
- Time. Add a product from your phone while you wait for the next customer, instead of saving it all for a late night at the computer.
- A shop that actually stays up to date. When adding a product is as easy as sending a chat, the shop doesn’t get abandoned. New items go up the day they arrive.
- A shop page buyers trust. Names and descriptions are neat, and buyers find answers without having to message you.
- Nothing new to learn. If you can send a photo in LINE, you can add a product.
- No separate AI subscription. The AI is part of Tellsell.
Getting good results: tell it what buyers want to know
The AI can only write as well as the information it gets. Before you send, think about what customers usually ask you, and say that:
- Size or amount, such as 30 ml, 250 g, or sizes S, M and L
- Materials or ingredients, only the ones you know for sure
- Who it’s for, or what it’s used for
- What makes it yours: handmade, baked fresh every morning, made to order
- Conditions, such as “order 2 days ahead” or “keep refrigerated”
And always read the preview before you tap Publish. AI can misread a photo, for example a colour that looks different under your lighting. Ten seconds of reading saves a lot of trouble.
In short
Selling online with AI doesn’t mean letting a machine sell for you. It means handing off the dull typing, so you have more time for the things customers love about your shop. To see how all of this works inside a chat, take a look at how Tellsell works.
