Use your own QR image
Some shops have a QR code from their bank (a shop QR or “receive money” QR) but no PromptPay ID they want to use. For them, Tellsell can show your own QR image on the order page instead of a QR it makes itself.
It works, but it is a fallback: your image can’t contain the order total, so the buyer has to type the amount. Whenever you can, use a PromptPay ID instead.
PromptPay ID or QR image
Section titled “PromptPay ID or QR image”| PromptPay ID | Your QR image | |
|---|---|---|
| The amount in the QR | Filled in for each order | The buyer types it |
| Risk of a wrong amount | None from typing | The buyer can type the wrong amount |
| Where you set it | Account pages | Account pages |
| Recommended | Yes | Only if you have no PromptPay ID to use |
If you save both, Tellsell always uses the PromptPay ID and shows a QR with the amount. The image is shown only when there is no valid PromptPay ID.
What the buyer sees
Section titled “What the buyer sees”On the order page, under Pay with PromptPay, the buyer sees the amount, your QR image, and:
Scan the shop’s QR with your banking app and type the amount, ฿385.
Below it: “Transfer note: order #1024” and “Please pay by …”, the same as with a PromptPay ID.
Prepare the image
Section titled “Prepare the image”A QR that is blurry, tilted or cut off won’t scan. Before you upload:
- Save the QR as an image from your banking app (most apps have a “save” or “share” button on the receive-money QR). A screenshot works too. A photo of a printed sign often doesn’t.
- Crop it so the QR fills most of the picture, with a little white border around it.
- Use a QR without a fixed amount, so the buyer can type the order total.
- Check it shows your name or your shop’s name when scanned.
Upload it
Section titled “Upload it”-
Log in at app.tellsell.app.
-
Open your shop’s payment settings and upload the QR image.
-
Leave the PromptPay ID empty (otherwise the ID is used instead of your image).
-
Place a small test order in your own shop and open the order page on another phone or a computer.
-
Scan the QR from that screen with your banking app. Check that the receiver’s name is yours, then cancel without paying.
-
Cancel the test order in LINE: Orders → Cancel → Yes, cancel.
Check the amount before you tap Paid
Section titled “Check the amount before you tap Paid”Because buyers type the amount themselves, it is worth an extra look. When a slip comes in, open your banking app and compare the amount that arrived with the order total on the card.
If the amount is wrong:
- Too little: don’t tap Paid yet. Contact the buyer (their phone number is on the order card) and ask for the rest.
- Too much: tap Paid and return the difference to the buyer yourself.
- Nothing arrived: the slip may be fake. Contact the buyer, and tap Cancel if no money comes. An order with a slip never cancels by itself; you get a reminder email every day until you tap Paid or Cancel.
