What an update is
Each plan has a number of updates a month. It’s the one number you need to watch.
What counts as an update
Section titled “What counts as an update”One published product change counts as 1 update when you tap Publish:
- A new product (after the setup period)
- An edited product, including a price change
- New About text
Several products in one message count one update each. However often you tweak a preview first (“shorter”, “price 150”), it counts once.
What doesn’t count
Section titled “What doesn’t count”| Never counts as an update |
|---|
| New products in the first 30 days, the setup period (up to your plan’s number of products) |
| Sold out, back in stock and stock numbers |
| Opening hours, the banner and shop info |
| Every order button |
| Undo |
| Cancelled previews and Tellsell’s follow-up questions |
Updates per month
Section titled “Updates per month”| Plan | Updates a month |
|---|---|
| Free | 5 |
| Starter | 40 |
| Business | 150 |
| Pro | 500 |
Updates start again each month on your billing day (shops without one count calendar months). Unused updates don’t carry over, but extra updates you buy last 12 months.
Tellsell tells you when you’re running low
Section titled “Tellsell tells you when you’re running low”At 80% used, your next reply gets a line: … updates left this month. When they run out, Tellsell answers with Buy 50 updates and Upgrade plan buttons instead of a preview.
Iced latte price 70
You've used this month's 40 updates. Buy more or upgrade your plan, then send your message again.
Free changes still work: sold out, stock, opening hours, banner, shop info, orders and Undo.
